How it works
From data to dashboard, step by step.
Behind the “seconds” there’s a careful process: local data reading, smart column detection, AI generation and automatic validation. Here’s what happens at each step.

Connect your data
Bring data from wherever it already lives: an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file (up to 10MB), a direct Google Sheets import or an API. Several files can be combined: Chartlo detects how they relate and joins them automatically.
- Step 2
Automatic column detection
Every column is classified by type (date, number, category, text, boolean) and gets statistics. Dates automatically get year, month and hour-of-day breakdowns. US and Brazilian number and date formats are recognized column by column, and near-duplicate values ("New York" vs "NY") are flagged so you can standardize them.
- Step 3
Add context (optional)
Pick your industry, describe your goal and the metrics that matter. That context makes the AI suggest the right KPIs for your domain (margin, average order value, conversion rate, utilization). If you prefer, skip it and let the AI decide.
- Step 4
The AI builds the dashboard
Based on your real columns and context, the AI generates a complete dashboard: KPIs, bar, line, pie, funnel, radar charts and more — with metrics calculated correctly and reviewed by an automatic validation step.
- Step 5
Refine it your way
Adjust everything with interactive filters, edit any chart in plain English ("add profit as a second series") or with the visual editor, change chart types, colors and themes, and organize your pages.
- Step 6
Share and export
Save to the cloud, create a view-only link for your team or export the dashboard to PDF: the current page or all of them at once.
